Our engineering careers offer exciting projects that will take you to a variety of job sites, where you’ll see your ideas become reality. Whether you’re designing infrastructure modernization project, providing technical support for projects under construction, solving builder/developer problems or addressing customer and community issues, no two days will be the same. Our Engineers are actively involved in the design efforts in the following areas:

Electric Engineering

Electric engineering team members support a variety of transmission and distribution substation, line, and communication projects.

  • Develop Design Solutions for Electric New Customer Service Requests
  • Design Advanced Grid Infrastructure
  • Review and Design Municipal Relocation Projects
  • Design Capacity System Improvement
  • Support Green Energy Projects – Wind and Solar Generation Projects

Gas Engineering:

Gas engineering team members support a variety of measurement and regulator stations, transmission and distribution pipeline projects.

  • Develop Design Solutions for Gas New Customer Service Requests
  • Design Pipeline Modernization Projects
  • Evaluate and Design Municipal Relocation Projects
  • Design Compliance and Capacity System Improvement
  • Support Green Energy Projects – Renewable Natural Gas Projects

*All NiSource engineers must have a Bachelors in Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited program.
