Angela Sanchez is Vice President, Communications, overseeing all aspects of corporate communications at NiSource and its subsidiaries. She serves as primary communications counsel to the executive leadership team.

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
Sanchez has more than 17 years of experience at NiSource, most recently serving as Chief of Staff to CEO Lloyd Yates. In this advisory role, she supported the executive leadership team in increasing productivity and achieving organizational effectiveness. Sanchez began her career with NIPSCO in 2008 as a customer service representative and served in roles of increasing responsibility, including Director of Billing, Payments and Customer Programs, Safety Management System (SMS) Process Manager.
BOARD AND CIVIC INVOLVEMENT
Sanchez currently serves as Chair of the Communications and Marketing Committee for the American Gas Association and is a member of the American Association of Blacks in Energy, and Hispanics in Energy. She previously served on the advisory board of the Salvation Army for Lake County, Indiana, and was Chair of the Program Committee. She also served on Chartwell’s Directors Strategic Council, Billing and Payments Leadership Council, and as the Chair of the Indiana Energy Association Customer Service Committee.
EDUCATION
Sanchez earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. She completed the McKinsey Black Management Accelerator Program and the American Gas Association Women in Leadership Program and is a member of the National Black MBA Association. Sanchez is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Continuous Improvement Manager, and certified in advanced crisis communications.
