Angela Sanchez
Angela Sanchez is Vice President, Chief Communications Officer, and a member of the company’s executive leadership team. Sanchez oversees corporate communications and reputation management helping strengthen trust with the stakeholders that NiSource serves. In this role, she serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, supporting business priorities, enterprise transformation and long‑term value creation.
PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
Sanchez has more than 18 years of experience at NiSource, with a career that reflects deep understanding of the customer and the business. She began her career as a customer service representative at NIPSCO and advanced through roles of increasing responsibility, including Director of Billing, Payments and Customer Programs. Most recently, she served as Chief of Staff to President and CEO Lloyd Yates, where she partnered closely with the executive leadership team to improve organizational effectiveness and enterprise decision‑making.
BOARD AND CIVIC INVOLVEMENT
Sanchez previously served as Chair of the Communications and Marketing Committee for the American Gas Association and is a member of the American Association of Blacks in Energy, and Hispanics in Energy. She has also served on several industry and advisory councils focused on customer experience, billing and payments, and energy leadership.
EDUCATION
Sanchez earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. She has completed executive leadership programs through McKinsey Company and the American Gas Association and holds advanced certifications in continuous improvements and crisis communications.
