At NiSource, we understand that we are much more than a commercial entity that generates and sells energy. We are also a social and community enterprise that includes not only our employees — but also our business partners, our customers, and the communities we serve. We are committed to creating an energizing workplace environment where our success is fueled by our employees.
Attracting top talent and creating development opportunities for our employees.
NiSource is committed to providing equal employment opportunities in each of its companies to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, veteran status, disability, gender, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, or any protected group status as defined by law.
One of the ways that we support our employees is by offering them opportunities to participate in conferences and development programs to further their professional growth.
Maximizing the value of partnerships to do even more good in the communities we serve.
Each day, across six states, our team of over 7,600 employees work hard to ensure nearly 3.8 million customers, families and businesses have the essential energy they need. We're one of the largest fully regulated utility companies in the United States. We heat and light homes and provide exceptional service across our territories in Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
As a company that places people at the heart of our mission, we are committed to delivering outstanding customer and employee experiences at every level and touchpoint. We proactively engage with customers and other stakeholders to collectively shape the future of energy.
We have created two new energy assistance programs for eligible seniors, active U.S. military and veterans who are struggling to pay past due energy bills. Both programs, Supply Energy Resources to Veterans (SERV) and Seniors in Indiana Low-Income and Vulnerable Energy Resource (SILVER), offer a one-time benefit of up to $400 per year* to those who qualify.
As our commitment to our workplace connection expands, we will continue to serve as an active partner in our communities by fostering meaningful and integrated community engagement efforts.
Enhancing our workplace culture by creating more opportunities for collaboration, connection, and recognition for our employees through our Employee Resource Groups and other initiatives.
Our employees are passionate creating a community where all employees can connect, support, and collaborate. Our (ERGs) Employee Resource Groups are open to all employees regardless of race, gender or ethnicity.
Holding ourselves accountable by using data-driven insights to track our progress toward our goals and adjust our approach as needed.
