Michael Luhrs is Executive Vice President, Technology, Customer and Chief Commercial Officer for NiSource Inc. and a member of the executive leadership team. He oversees enterprise customer growth opportunities, economic development,  mergers and acquisitions, sustainability, customer experience, data and analytics, cyber and physical security, and business transformation.

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
Luhrs has over 25 years of experience in the energy industry, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Customer Experience and Strategy at Alliant Energy. Prior to this, Luhrs held a number of leadership roles at Duke Energy including Vice President of Integrated Grid Strategy and Solutions, Vice President of Market Strategy and Solutions, Vice President of Retail Programs and General Manager roles in Business Excellence and Energy Supply & Finance. His duties included incorporating emerging technologies to optimize energy efficiency and promote corporate growth and investment. Luhrs also spent nearly 14 years at Progress Energy, serving in positions from coordinator to general manager.
