With Military Appreciation Month upon us, I find myself reflecting on the profound impact that the brave individuals of our armed forces have on our lives, communities and our nation. This reflection is deeply personal to me, as someone who has been touched by the sacrifices of our military community.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working alongside individuals who have served or are currently serving in the military. Their courage, resilience and selflessness have left a lasting mark on me.
Let’s pause to reflect on the freedoms we cherish – which are earned through the sacrifice of our military heroes. Every day, we enjoy the blessings of liberty, from the freedom of speech to the pursuit of happiness. It is because of their courage and commitment that we can pursue our passions, dreams and a better future for generations to come.
At NiSource, we are privileged to have a remarkable group of employees who are veterans or are active military personnel. Their dedication, discipline and selflessness exemplify the absolute best of what it means to be a part of something greater than oneself.
Recruiting and retaining veterans and active military personnel remain key priorities for us, as we recognize and appreciate their valuable skills and experiences.
