Today is National Lineworker Appreciation Day, a time to celebrate and express our appreciation to our electric lineworkers, whose essential work keeps our customers powered around the clock. No matter what day of the year, in sunshine or storms, our dedicated employees provide the energy needed to support our communities’ homes and businesses.
They stand ready to respond during emergencies to help keep our communities safe and ensure reliable power for our nearly 500,000 electric customers. And they are often called upon to provide mutual aid assistance to neighboring utilities when they need additional backup support.
At NiSource, the dedication of our lineworkers is critical to our mission to deliver safe, reliable energy that drives value for our communities and customers. Today, I extend my gratitude to our Indiana-based NIPSCO lineworkers and the countless teams within NiSource that support them, as well as all the lineworkers throughout the industry who answer the call at all hours to power our nation.
