NiSource’s corporate vision is to be a trusted energy partner and help shape a safer, more resilient and sustainable energy future. Our sustainability framework is embedded into corporate strategy and central to how we plan and invest to meet customers’ needs in an evolving energy environment. 

In 2025, NiSource advanced our sustainability objectives, collaborating closely with employees and partners on grid modernization, methane reduction, biodiversity and circularity initiatives. 

We also helped advance community sustainability efforts and created positive social impacts that strengthened operations and demonstrated our commitment to effective and transparent governance. All of this drives long-term value to NiSource stakeholders.  

Key 2025 milestones included: 

• 70% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 greenhouse gas emissions since 2005
• Nearly doubled renewable energy and storage capacity in 2025 
• 12th consecutive year on the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices 
• Introduced a business model that protects customers and supports large-load growth
